Coffee and Peace: The Spiritual Side of Java
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Is your coffee time a spiritual practice? ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Make it part of your morning meditation. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I always encourage my patients to take any practice or activity and create a meditation out of it, if possible :)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Coffee for many is just a means of getting a caffeine jolt to sharpen your senses. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Coffee becomes spiritual and mindful when we focus on the coffee itself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For many, drinking coffee or tea pulls the body and mind into being present because it is happening now and bringing you peace. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don’t make your morning coffee a rush. Make it a practice to stop and appreciate the cup. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Avoid coffees that make you:

  • Have jitters
  • Create headaches or brain fog
  • Cause tight neck, chest, or heart palpitations⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Additions to your coffee routine that can heighten good dopamine release:
  • Supplement with Lion’s Mane mushrooms and/or Albizia herb
  • Add MCT oil or grass fed butter/ghee to coffee for better absorption
  • Add collagen which helps build connective tissue and increase glutathione production⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As important is choice of coffee...the cleaner the coffee, the better.
  • Organic
  • Pesticide free
  • Mold free
  • Low acidity
  • Fresh roasted
  • Bean species
This is your morning meditation🙏
