When you start a healthier lifestyle-to eat well, whether it is vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto, etc., there is always the possibility of detoxification. Especially after cheat days and holiday feasting and drinks.

Toxins are stored primarily in our fat cells. If our digestive systems and liver are not working in harmony, our cells can consume and store whatever we eat or get infected with.

Toxins from food and infections, such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungus can be stored heavily in fat cells. Remember your fat is made primarily in the liver. That is why liver detoxes are so popular.

When you eat well and take care of yourself with rest, water, proper diet, and nutrients, you soften your cell walls and increase your immune system.

You have been giving your body the signals that it is okay to detoxify and release anything that is not healthy. When you eat differently you may bombard your system with excess toxins it’s not used to. If this occurs DON’T BE DISCOURAGED, you are still healing.

Softening cell walls do two things:

  1. Allows good nutrients in
  2. Let bad toxins out
When toxins and infections come out of the cell, you can have a detox reaction. You can have cold/flu like symptoms because you may be actually releasing old infections.

During the time of changing diet and eating healthy it is important to stay up on your immune.

Remember 3 key supplements:
  1. Vitamin D3 with K (and vitamin A and E are also helpful)
  2. Vitamin C
