MIND OF JOY
We have all heard of the term visualization. Visualization is a process where we create and SEE pictures in our minds.
Psychology has a long suggested that we practice positive visualization in all aspects of our lives, physical, chemical, and emotional.
There is a new term that has been coined in psychology realms, made mainstream by the writings of Dr. Joe Dispenza, is MENTALIZATION.
It is suggested that we not only SEE our life of JOY, but feel and experience every aspect within our MINDS.
Along with your vision, feel every touch, smell every scent, hear every sound, taste all the flavors...that create a joyous state.
It can be as simple as creating a mental focus of cooking your favorite meal, doing your favorite exercise, hanging with the people you love, or seeing yourself on a beach with a smile.
Research is showing that when you activate all the areas of the brain that are related to your senses, (through MENTALIZATION) it affects your body JUST AS MUCH as you are doing them.
There was studies done on NASA astronauts who were losing muscle tone because of the effects of non-gravity.
They found that thinking and creating mental events of certain exercises activated the brain to stimulate the related muscles, WITHOUT MOVEMENT.
This actually built the muscle tissue and helped the astronauts not lose muscle mass. They have also done this type of mental exercises with Olympic athletes this actually built the muscle tissue and helped the astronauts not lose muscle mass.
They have also done this type of mental exercises with Olympic athletes to create QUICKER physical and chemical reactions when it comes to their events.
You can TRAIN your body to experience JOY both chemically and physically just by MENTALIZATION.
Every day, 15-20 minutes of: “Finally, dear heart, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of joy, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart].” 🦋
